FRUIT FLAPJACK WITH OPTIONAL CHOCOLATE TOPPING

150g Butter  100g Caster Sugar   100g dried fruit (your choice)   2 tbs golden syrup

200g Rolled Oats   1 drop Vanilla Essence   75g chocolate (any flavour)

 

preheat oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4

Melt syrup, butter and sugar in pan over low heat: Remove from the heat and stir in the oats and fruit: Press into a prepared tin and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and remove from oven: Turn off oven: Place chocolate on top and return to the warm oven until the chocolate is melted: Remove and allow to cool before cutting.
